Chaplains

The AIS has two chaplains who are available to answer questons or prayer requests for athetes.

Peter Nelson

  • Peter has been involved in Christian ministry for over 25 years. He has been chaplain at the AIS for more than 10 years now, and has experienced both the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics as a Chaplain.

Peter Prior 

  • Peter's involvement in chaplaincy work at the AIS began at the start of 2004. He has been a Christian for a number of years, and is looking forward to spending more time at the AIS in the years ahead.
Weekly prayer sessions are held and all scholarship holders and coaches are invited along.

They try to visit residential squads at the AIS on a weekly basis. In addition, the details below outline some of the other things we do or can assist with.
