Robbie won gold in the long jump event at the 2006 World Junior Championships. He followed this up a year later with a victory at the 2007 Wolrd University Games.

Receiving an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship which helped me to become the Long Jump Junior World Champion with an 8m jump at the 2006 World Junior Championships in China
