Basketball Gems squad chosen for Japan Series in Melbourne

08 Feb 2011

Following a tough selection camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra, the Australian Gems Women’s squad has been reduced to a list 17, as the players prepare for the March camp, which will be held in Melbourne.

As part of the Melbourne program, the Gems will host the Japan National U19 team, and will utilise the opportunity to find some form in preparation for the World Championships in Chile, which take place between 21–31 July, 2011.

The Gems will play a three-game friendly series against Japan with the games to be played on 31 March, 1 and 2 April.

Full details of the Gems vs Japan series will be available on the website soon.
