Rugby Union - Scholarships

The Australian Rugby Union and Provincial Super 14 Unions have specific talent identification networks and development programs used to unearth talent for the highest levels of the game. These systems are used to track players into the AIS/Australian Sevens squad.

Train on squads of 20-40 players are listed in July at the conclusion of the current IRB Sevens World Series with training days and testing providing information for national selectors to finalise a squad of 30 players for the first Sevens World Series Tournament in November.  Further national selection camps at the AIS are held in September and late October before the selectors finalise a squad of 20 players for the Sevens World Series and AIS Scholarship.
