Fabian Barlow – Head Coach

Fabian Barlow was appointed as Head Coach of both the Australian Women's Softball Team and AIS Softball program in early March 2005.

Barlow came to the AIS after a successful season as Head Coach of the Victorian Institute of Sport and the Victorian Women's Open State team. He is a Level 2 Softball coach and has extensive experience coaching the New Zealand Maori and Wellington representative teams.

As a player, Barlow was a member of the New Zealand Black Sox and Under-19 team, which won the 1989 World U19 Softball Championship.

Bob Crudgington – High Performance Manager

Bob has been coaching softball for 25 years at club, regional, state and national levels. Bob was the Head Coach of the Australian Women’s Softball Team when they won a Bronze Medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games, a Silver medal at the 1998 World Championships and a Bronze Medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Bob will be working along side Fabian Barlow and Bernie Dench out of the AIS Softball office in Brisbane.

Bernie Dench – Program Coordinator

Bernie Dench commenced as the Softball Program Coordinator at the AIS Softball Unit in January 2006. Bernie completed her Sports Management degree in 2002 and will bring with her valuable knowledge from her employment as the High Performance Coordinator at Netball Queensland.
