Swimming for life

Learning to swim is an essential life skill and provides confidence in the water. At the AIS, we have swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, from 12 months to adult, all run by qualified AUSTSWIM instructors. Plus, you’ll be learning in the same pools where Australia’s elite swimmers train!

Our programs:

  • Infant aquatics — parents and infants (12–36 months) learn together in the pool
  • Pre-school program — build on water confidence and safety skills
  • School-aged programs — learn the basic strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, survival backstroke and sidestroke
  • Club aquatics — great for young swimmers looking to become competitive swimmers
  • Junior Lifesaving Club — learn lifesaving and survival swimming skills
  • Swim Fit — non-competitive swimming classes for more advanced swimmers
  • Adult learn to swim — learn to swim with our patient and understanding swim instructors
