Recruiting Now: Melbourne Sprint Kayaking

The NTID program is conducting a search for athletes who have the potential to become world class sprint kayakers.  We are looking for males and females between the ages of 13 – 17 years who have the following characteristics:

  • a sporting background, especially in water sports
  • good strength, speed, power and endurance
  • the dedication to join an elite development training squad
  • mental toughness
  • the desire to be an Australian Olympian 

Successful athletes will have access to:

  • superior coaching
  • quality training facilities
  • access to equipment
  • sports science and research
  • development activities and camps
No Kayaking experience is necessary!!

Program Location

Melbourne, Victoria, 13-17 years old

This program will be based at Patterson Lakes in South East Melbourne and registrations are now open. Registrations close on Wednesday March 24th 2010, with a testing and a 'come and try' session held very soon after.

Once registered, the details of the testing venue and time will be emailed to you.  All athletes will be notified of their results following the testing session.
