Get involved

For young people, sport is a great way to keep fit, hang out with friends and most importantly have fun. The getting involved section of the junior sport website has been designed to provide parents and young people information on how they might begin or continue their involvement with sport.

It provides information on modified games; what they are and why they are important for a young person’s first involvement in sport. There is also information on the various pathways that young people can take to play or be involved with sport. A young person’s first experience might be at school or in a club and their experience progresses from there.

Further information about how or why young people should get involved in sport or which sport they should play can be found in the frequently asked questions.
