Code of behaviour
All sports should have codes of behaviour in place. The Australian Sports Commission’s Junior Sport Codes of Behaviour identify a series of key principles on which young participants, parents, coaches, teachers, administrators, officials, the media and spectators should base their sporting involvement. They provide the basis for fair play for young people and encourage fun, friendly and safe environments.
Sporting organisations that want to ensure a more enjoyable junior sport experience for young people can adopt the already written codes of behaviour or modify them to suit their sport.

The Ethics in Sport unit also has some general Codes of Behaviour which may be adopted by sporting organisations. These are not specific to junior sport and some repetition with the above codes does occur.
