Copyright & Trademarks

Copyright protects people’s creative work from being used without their agreement. Copyright may come into play in your club’s activities in a number of ways. For example, if you’re using a logo, plan on hosting or naming a special event or want to sell products, then you may need to make sure that you are not breaching copyright laws.

Trademarks are used to distinguish the products and services of one business from those of another. A registered trademark gives you the legal right to use, license or sell it within Australia for the products and services for which it is registered.
