What does your club do to ensure its volunteers and staff have the right skills for their current positions? How do you find out what skills people will need for the future? Education and training can provide the answer. This might include regularly running education sessions or encouraging and supporting your people to attend courses at universities, TAFE or other community education providers.

You may be relying on staff and volunteers to maintain one of your most valuable assets, which is your membership database. But how do you support your people so that they have the expertise to maintain this system effectively and retain its value?

Remember, one of the reasons people volunteer is to gain new skills and experiences.
