Paralympians Shae Graham and Andrew Dawes named in Para Uplift Steering Group

Paralympians Shae Graham (wheelchair rugby) and Andrew Dawes (Para-athletics) have also been named as part of the Win Well Para Uplift Steering Group, which will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding the implementation of the Para Uplift across high performance sport.

The Para Uplift, funded by record investment by the Australian Government, was born from Australia’s Win Well High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy (Win Well Strategy) to address systemic and structural barriers to performance for para athletes.

Run in partnership with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), Paralympics Australia, National Institute Network and sports, the Para Uplift will increase the number of athletes entering and progressing in the high performance system in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Games by addressing better classification opportunities, access to fit-for-purpose training environments, and specialised coaching and performance support.
