Working groups selected to implement Horizon 1 activities
More than 100 people within the high performance sport system have put up their hand to join twelve working groups to assist the implementation of the Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy.
The representatives were selected through a mass expression of interest process, which saw 186 experienced and highly capable people from both within and outside the high performance sport system make a total of 372 applications.
Executive General Manager of AIS Performance Matti Clements, who is also serving as the Horizon 1 Chair of the HP 2032+ Leadership Team, said: “The working group members will offer a variety of expertise and perspectives that will ensure that we deliver upon the outcomes required within the HP 2032+ Strategy.
"We have a really good mix of members involved and it’s great to see a number of current and retired athletes involved, along with coaches, chief executive officers, plus operational and performance personnel."
