Archery Australia launches 'Play Well, Win Well' award

Archery Australia has launched a bi-monthly award to showcase their incredible community across both Participation and High Performance Sport.

Born from the Archery Australia Athlete Committee, the ‘Play Well, Win Well’ Award will spotlight stories of how people are bringing the vision of both the HP 2032+ Strategy and Australian Sport Participation Strategy to life.

Just as the HP 2032+ Strategy has the vision, ‘We win well to inspire Australians’, Play Well is at the heart of the Australian Sport Participation Strategy and emphasises that ‘everyone has a place in sport’.

The first recipient of the award is Gloria Tse from Sydney Olympic Park Archers (SOPA), who has been recognised for her kindness and professionalism in her volunteer role as SOPAs Secretary and member of the local organising committee for the 2024 National Para Championships and WAO Grand Prix.

With Volunteer Week fast approaching (20-26 May), Gloria’s award is a timely reminder of the vital roles volunteers play in delivering sport programs across Australia.
