The Wallabies have jetted off to France to contest the 2023 Rugby World Cup, but before they departed, several stars stopped past the AIS for some last-minute preparations.
Breakout young gun, Tom Hooper put in a big shift at the gym alongside backrower, Rob Valetini, while veteran halfback, Nic White ensured his legs could last the full 80 minutes with an intense cardio session.
The AIS is proud to offer high-quality facilities and expertise to Australia’s elite athletes as they prepare for competition.
Having great facilities like this at the AIS is absolutely key,” Tom Hooper said.
“You need to find somewhere where you can really put the put the hard work in, the hard yakka, and the AIS is perfect for that.”
The Wallabies are no strangers to iconic elite facilities, but even they were in awe of the storied history of the AIS.
“A place of this calibre, you see all the memorabilia on the wall of people that have won gold, won silver, really striving for greatness,” Hooper said.
“It's really special to be in the same environment as those teams were.”
