Australian Sailing | The University of Queensland | Bachelor of Advanced Humanities (Honours)

Following a year of study in Advanced Humanities, I will then move to a dual degree of Advanced Humanities and Law, where I hope to eventually practice in the fields of law or public policy. In turn, the skills I am able to develop will help to contribute to upholding ethical, moral and legal righteousness within society and also help fight for the rights of others. Sailing is an exceptionally expensive sport, requiring significant investment of time and money in equipment, travel, coaching, and competition fees. The financial burden of balancing elite-level competition with tertiary education places a large amount of pressure on both me and my family. This scholarship would provide the crucial support needed to allow me to dedicate myself fully to my academic and sporting aspirations by minimising the constant stress and time of financial constraints.
