The Australian Sports Commission is focused on improving the capability of sporting organisations to create an effective and sustainable national sport sector.
The Sport Governance and Organisational Enhancement team provides advisory support to the boards of national sporting organisations (NSOs) and national sporting organisations for people with disability (NSODs), supporting them to develop contemporary:
- sport governance practices and processes in line with the sport governance principles and standards
- business models to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their organisations
The team also leads the development of guidelines, tools and resources to improve organisational capability, as well as providing advice and assistance to NSOs and NSODs to assist developing organisational capability.
