The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) has announced that four-time Paralympian Mitch Gourley has joined the team working to make the Brisbane 2032 Paralympics Australia’s most successful Games ever.

Paralympians Shae Graham (wheelchair rugby) and Andrew Dawes (Para-athletics) have also been named as part of the Win Well Para Uplift Steering Group, which will play a critical role in overseeing and guiding the implementation of the Para Uplift across high performance sport.

Paralympic champion Emily Petricola will be aiming to recruit and develop the next generation of Paralympians in her new role as the South Australian Sports Institute’s (SASI’s) Para Unit Lead.

Recently retired Olympian and Paralympian Milly Tapper, Australia’s first Indigenous female Olympic boxer Marissa Williamson Pohlman, and two-time Winter Olympian Brodie Summers have been announced as members of the Leadership Group for the next stage of Australia’s High Performance 2032+ Sport Strategy (Win Well Strategy).

Eleven new sports, including incoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic debutants cricket, lacrosse and flag football, have committed to the Win Well HP 2032+ Strategy.
