Who are we looking for?

Eligibility criteria

• People aged 13+.
• People who have, or think they might have, an impairment that makes them eligible for Paralympic sport. If you are unsure, register anyway. We will work with you to find a sport opportunity for you.
• Australian citizens or people eligible to become citizens.
• People who would like to represent Australia in a participating para-sports.

What is involved?

Register

1. Register your details online.
2. We will review your application and be in touch to let you know which sporting opportunities you might be best suited for.
3. Those invited to a Talent Search Day will tryout a series of activities and para-sports. Our team will help ensure you get the most out of the day. There might even be a few familiar faces from the Australian Paralympic team there to help. These sessions aim to identify your individual strengths, so you don't need to perform the best across everything on offer - experts who understand what it takes to be a Paralympian will be in attendance.
4. Following the talent search day, you may be asked some follow-up questions and invited to come and try a particular sport.

Athlete selections

1. If selected, you will be offered the chance to trial specific sports and participate in further training and development opportunities.
2. If you are not selected, you will be offered information about other opportunities to participate in para-sport.
