Sport Connect is a sport Digital ID that makes it easier to connect online when interacting with Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) digital platforms. We are currently working with different sport organisations and technology providers to get more sports connected so you can use across a range of platforms. This means into the future no more re-entering your details into multiple systems and having to remember multiple passwords - simply link your existing accounts to Sport Connect.

What is an Identity Provider?
An identity provider is a service that stores and manages digital identities. If you've ever used your Google or Apple login or your Australian Government Digital ID, myID, to access an app, you've used an identity provider. Your username and password open doors to another resource, and you don't have to do anything special to make it happen. Governments and organisations use these services to allow people to connect with the services or resources they need. Identity providers provide a way to manage access while security remains tight. At Sport Connect we give you several options of identity provider to make it both simple and secure for you to digitally connect to your sport(s).
Does it matter which Identity Provider I use?
This is your personal choice. We have provided multiple options to make it easy for you. These providers exchange details you consent to share between your chosen identity provider and the service or sports organisation you're accessing. All the options provided are secure and comply with our digital identity security protocols. However, if you are logging into an ASC or AIS application as part of your role at a sport organisation – you will need to use the email that is already registered to a specific application. For example if you are using Sport Connect to enter Partner Portal, you’ll need to use the email associated with that application as it is by invite only.
I’m not sure which identity provider to select, what provider is my email associated with?
Here are the most common below but please contact the Sport Connect team if you would like to suggest adding to this list. Microsoft: Outlook.com, hotmail.com, msn.com, live.com Google: Gmail Apple: Apple ID, icloud.com, me.com, mac.com
